The Tarot World Comes Together

Wow what a conference! The UK Tarot Conference 2024 was held over the weekend and was a joy to be at. It was jam packed with enthusiastic, talented and knowledgeable people who made the experience quite unique. Guests and speakers came from around the world, bringing literal meaning to 'The World' card itself.

The conference was kicked off by an energetic and inspiring talk and workshop on 'Unveiling Your Soul's Map' given by TarotJo, who got us all up and 'Tarot Dating'. This took me way out of my comfort zone, but by the end of it I was a convert and thought it was an inspired way to shake us all up. It gave me an opportunity to speak to other delegates I may not have had the chance to meet.

Michelle Morphitis 'Tarot and Psychotherapy' spoke of difficult issues with so much compassion and empathy, that the burden of what many of us carry felt lighter and easier to bear.

Michelle's talk inspired Matthew Baker, who gave a workshop on 'How We Relate to our Inner World of Tarot & the World Card', to write and perform a poem about his late father. The poem resonated with me so much that it moved me to tears and gave me strength in my grief.

Elliot Adam entertained us, inspired us and challenged us with his ' Rise of the Phoenix: Transforming Fear into Personal Power with Tarot' workshop. He also made me want to to visit Delphi in Greece and listen to the magical music of the traditional oboe played by the locals.

There were many other inspiring and entertaining speakers, from whom I learned so much, and the conference came to a close too soon. One last treat was in store for us with the captivating and moving talk given by Tiffany Lazic on 'The World At Your Doorstep'. Tiffany's empathy and compassion shone through, and I am grateful that she had such generosity of spirit to share her vulnerability with us.

But of course, the icing on the cake for me was the kind and encouraging words that so many of you gave me on my handmade Tarot bags and wraps. This was the first year I had sold my products at the conference, and I am thankful to all of you who bought one or more (thank you, Debbie, Monica, and Ann!) of my products. Your encouragement has given me the push I needed!

The last word of thanks must go to Kim Arnold, who organizes the entire conference. Without her drive and passion to share the wonderful world of Tarot with 'The World', none of us would have the safe space to meet new friends and grow. You really are 'The Empress'.

Looking forward to the 2025 Conference - no pressure Kim!
